International Missions

Opportunities

God has been opening many doors for the North GA UMMen to promote and participate in international missions. We encourage all North GA UM churches to form mission teams which will serve short-term (usually about 7-10 days) in a cross-cultural setting. Such teams usually consist of about 10-20 men, women and young people, ranging from teenagers to retirees.

Teams do construction work on churches, parsonages and seminaries. They also offer vacation Bible schools. Some teams provide medical, dental and optical care. In some form or another, all teams witness to God’s love and redemption in Christ. They do this through their verbal testimony and their loving service to people in need. Some of the places where teams have gone in recent years include Mexico, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Paraguay and Ghana.Support which is raised for the NGC UMM international mission program can be used to help set up and coordinate mission projects, to help fund exploratory mission trips, to purchase Bibles, and in various other ways.
